My secret to successfully recruiting students via the internet.
People searching for a suitable piano teacher in my area have many to choose from, but they often selected me. I learned that the reason my website was so successful at recruiting students was because of one small paragraph.
You may be surprised by what it said because it is almost the opposite of what most other teachers are saying. Here it is:
“I do not claim that my students will have fun as they learn. They are studying an art form and I expect them to be serious about it and realize from the start that it requires, concentration, discipline and effort to make progress.
This does not mean that learning will be unpleasant. There are rewards and a satisfaction that goes far deeper than merely having fun.”
